Terisa will start her 3rd year at Sunflower Fields in 2008. She will be a harvest crew manager as well as a field assistant, helping with planting, cultivating and transplanting. She will play a vital role at the farm, and we are fortunate to have her here!

My name is Terisa Ann Winters Steiber. I live on Village Creek in rural Lansing Iowa with my husband Alan. We own a few acres and have a variety of critters. We have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. I came to work for Sunflower Fields 3 years ago in response to a newspaper ad wanting part time farm help. Since then I have learned a lot about vegetable farming and food production. I have met some wonderful folks along the way and formed a lot of lifetime friendships.

In my spare time I enjoy family and friends, raising Red & Blue Heelers as well as raising, training and riding Paints and Quarter Horses. We really enjoy going riding and camping with family and friends and try to go to South Dakota to Custer State Park every year. We also raise a few chickens for eating and egg production. I am part of an Avian rescue as well as a Feline rescue so we always have different critters coming and going.

I look forward to another year with Sunflower Fields and meeting many more folks whom enjoy eating healthy.
